Taxonomy
The holotype of Sameodes miltochristalis Hampson, 1896 374-375 from India (Sikkim) is in the BMNH.
syn. Epipagis setinalis Hampson 1919a: 277. TL Taiwan. As syn. LepIndex);
ms syn Epipagis setinialis Snellen 1901 (Mispell.);
syn. Sameodes equicalcaralis Strand 1918: 61, pl. 1,2. TL Taiwan (Kaoshung Co.). As a var. (Shibuya, 1928: 30, Wang & Speidel, 200: 106).

Description
Wing length: 13mm. The sp. is very variable and may have a brown suffusion around the streaks. Wang & Speidel (2000) illustrate var equicalcaralis (Strand, 1918). BOLD taxon #19606. Xhaofu Yang treats this sp. from China as Tabidia. Bold taxon # 273069. Do not confuse with several superficially similar Arctidae; Arctiinae spp. The name miltochristalis refers to the similarity
